• Serum and urinary protein electrophoresis not done!!
• Repeat diagnosis of diabetic nephropathy
• Development of renal failure, haemodialysis initiated
• Myeloma diagnosed
• Renal failure could have been avoided
• Renal function can be normalized by timely therapy
• Myeloma should always be considered! Do articulate your suspicion in time!
